Everything you wanted to know about batteries in our video brochures
Q: Are video brochures rechargeable?
A: Yes, our video brochures are rechargeable. They are equipped with Lithium-Ion batteries. Each video brochure has one Lithium-Ion battery. The capacity of our standard configured brochures is 400 mAh (micro Ampere hours) to 1500 mAh in larger brochures. If requested, we can supply a stronger battery with a playback of several hours.
Q: What is the battery life of a video brochure?
A: The battery will last 90 – 120 minutes of playback time, though that may depend on the brightness of the video and volume level.
Q: How long does the battery stay charged if not used?
A: If not in use, the battery will stay charged for several months. We recommend charging the brochures before distribution if they have been stored for 5 or more months.
Q: How do I charge my video brochure?
A: Our video brochures charge via a standard USB-C (or micro-USB) cable, which is typically included. Simply plug the cable into the charging port on the brochure and connect it to a USB port on your computer or a compatible wall adapter. A full charge usually takes 30 – 60 minutes.
Q: Can I replace the battery in my video brochure myself?
A: No, the Lithium-Ion batteries in our video brochures are not designed to be user-replaceable.
Q: Is it safe to leave my video brochure plugged in constantly?
A: Our video brochures have built-in protection circuits to prevent overcharging. While it is generally safe to leave them plugged in after they are fully charged, for optimal battery longevity, we recommend unplugging the brochure once it reaches full charge, especially if it won’t be used immediately.
