7" Video Brochure

Video Brochures LCD Options

Video Brochures are still rather a new product, and the number of options for custom-printed and assembled Video Brochures adds to the confusion.  The cost of Video Brochures greatly depends on the size of the screen and the quantity ordered. In several sizes, theVideoCards offers only one type of display (9″ TN LCD).  To keep the price of some options down, we offer a basic TN display for 4.5″ LCD (with IPS option available), as well as 9″ LCD (with 10.1″ IPS option available).  The LCD options we offer are the most cost-effective options available.  We can supply brochures with the newest LCDs available on the market. However, such options come at very high price points with minimal quantity orders in hundreds or thousands of units.

TN LCD

Some models including 4″, 4.5″, 5″, 7″, 10″ and 2.4″ LCD are available as Twisted Nematic (TN) displays. The TN LCD is the least expensive display available. In a commercial setting, they are used in gaming monitors and gaming laptops. However, they offer a limited viewing angle and colors. In our industry, they are referred to as first-generation displays. We do not offer all sizes by default, but they are available by request.

IPS LCD

IPS displays, compare to our TN panels , improve color reproduction and viewing angles. They also offer a higher contrast ratio (better black rendering), high color accuracy,  have very little color shift when changing the viewing angles. They are recommended for video brochures where better color reproduction and the viewing angle are essential (i.e.. wedding video brochures).

When should I use the TN display or the IPS display in Video Brochures?

In most cases, the TN display is adequate for the majority of Video Brochure projects. From the introduction of a new app, new company, or new processes, to an on-camera person inviting users to an event, the vast majority of users will find the TN display on the Video Brochure works great.

We recommend the IPS displays for projects that require the best image quality possible. With IPS displays having wide viewing angles, high resolution, and the best color representation, they are an especially good fit for photographers (including wedding photographers), architects, high-end real estate projects, or projects with nature/travel videos.

Lately, we adopted IPS displays for most brochures, keeping the first generation displays (TN) available for projects with strict budgets.

In the end, no matter what display you choose, the Video Brochure will be an impressive marketing tool viewed and remembered by your clientele.
