What is Video – Brochure, Mailer, Box, Business Card?
Here we look at each product name and what differentiates it so you can make the best choice on which product will work for your needs. These terms are often used interchangeably, but as the leading pioneer in the industry, theVideoCards defines each of the products as the following:
Video Brochure
The industry standard video brochure is an LCD screen contained within either a softcover or hardcover brochure. A standard video brochure without a mailer box or other additional components is mostly intended for in-person distribution or added to existing packaging. Our video brochures are delivered in a thin protective sleeve to prevent scratches and other damages.
Available in 4″, 4.5″, 5″, 6″, 7″ & 10″ screens with a fully customizable cover easily designed with our templates. The standard video brochure comes with up to 5 programmable buttons for playback and volume control, a quality speaker, and 256MB of memory that holds approximately 8-12 minutes of video (depending on the screen size) with additional memory upgrades available to suit any need. Each video brochure comes with a micro USB cable for recharging the power or updating the video on the card.
Video Mailer
Video Mailer (or Video Direct Mail) is essentially a video brochure with a custom printed mailer box and a small box for a USB charging cable. Video Mailers are intended for mail distribution directly shipped in the mailer boxes.
Available in all screen sizes as a video brochure, the video mailer also includes a fully customizable mailing box in either a 15pt cover stock or a more sturdy corrugated paper for additional protection. The mailer boxes can be ordered with either a matte or gloss finish and are also easily customizable with a supplied template to maintain brand consistency. The video brochures are placed inside a foam sleeve for added protection and then inside the mailer box. theVideoCards also offers mailing services and fulfillment for our video mailers with your supplied database of addresses.
Video Box
The video box is an extremely flexible product that combines our LCD screen technology with any item that will accompany it in the box. The video box can be crafted to contain any item with the perfect fit and presentation through the custom fabrication of optional foam molds. The video box is mostly used for gifts, product samples, or other promotional material that needs to be delivered elegantly. Each project is 100% custom, and theVideoCards will work with you every step to make the process painless and deliver an amazing finished product.
Video Business Card
The video business card is a pocket-sized video brochure designed to be used as a business card. The cards are typically 3.5″ x 2″ x 0.25 (custom sizes available) with a 2.4″ screen and are small enough to be carried without any trouble and handed out to potential clients and business partners. In most cases, our clients use them in in-person meetings, though they may also be conveniently mailed. The cards come in two formats, single and multi-use. All video business cards are rechargeable and are supplied with a micro USB charging cable. Video business cards are fully customizable with a supplied template for easy design. Blank Video Brochure
Our blank video brochures have a blank canvas that our clients often customize. They are available in black and white with 5″ and 7″ LCD screen options that feature soft or hard covers as well as an option for an internal pocket and business card holder. Blank video brochures do not have minimum purchase requirements and are always available for immediate shipment. Each brochure measures 8.25″ x 5.25″, has five buttons for playback and volume, 256MB of memory, and is supplied with a micro USB cable for uploading video and recharging. Blank video brochures are the perfect solution for individuals and small businesses that do not require larger quantities. Visit the blank video brochures page to find out more.
Touchscreen Video Brochure
A touchscreen video brochure is quite self-explanatory. Instead of physical buttons, all controls are on the screen with an introductory menu that offers a selection of “buttons”. The touchscreen features a convenient video progress bar that allows a fast skip to the video part based on the timeline. Volume control is also part of the navigation as well as optional NEXT and PREVIOUS buttons.
Since users are very familiar with touchscreen technology, the brochures offer a familiarity brought from smart devices. From a branding standpoint, touchscreen video brochures offer a custom menu navigation that further reinforces the branding aspect – print, video, and menu are all custom.
Touchscreen video brochures are available in 7” and 10” screen sizes.
Video Stand
A video stand is typically a hardcover unit intended to be displayed over a longer period. They are used at conferences, trade shows, meetings, sign-up desks, etc. They can eliminate the need for a larger TV set and logistics associated with much larger equipment.
They can also be used as a video mailer with a long video. The user may not hold a brochure for 30 minutes or an hour, but they place a video stand on a desk and comfortably watch an educational video, training video, or another long-form movie.
Video stands are highly customizable with a selection of battery capacity, screen size, controls, folding, power source, and other options.
