How are Video Brochures made?

So how are Video Brochures made?
Some may be surprised with how much handwork is required to assemble our Video Brochures.
Once you deliver your design file and approve our production proof from the print pre-production, the paper cover goes to print. At the same time, the selection and preparation of the electronic parts start. A PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) with a flash memory chip is selected that fits your project and memory requirements. The PCBA is attached to the back of the screen. The buttons required for your project are soldered to the PCBA, as well as the battery, speaker, and the magnetic switch, which takes care of turning the brochure on and off when the brochures are opened or closed. Firmware is uploaded to the PCBA to take care of the requested functions. Your video or image files are uploaded as well.
Once the brochure is printed, all parts are attached, so the individual buttons and speaker correspond with the print on the brochure. The edges of the brochure are filled with EVA foam, so the brochure does not collapse when pressed. All parts are glued together with a glue gun and double sided tape.
The paper cover is attached to the whole structure with 3M tape. If needed, the hollow parts are filled with more EVA foam, and the brochure is attached to the cover (in pictures, a hardcover brochure assembly).
During the assembly, the brochure is attached to the power to make sure the brochure works as intended. Once the video brochure is assembled, the brochures are charged, carefully checked for quality, and packed for delivery.
